Hello! My name is Andrew Park and I am a rising Junior in Mechanical Engineering the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign planning to graduate in May 2027. I'm extremely passionate about electronics and mechatronics as well as combustion and propulsion systems and have extensive experience in both fields.
During the Summer of 2025 I had the privilege of working at Caterpillar, Inc. in the LPSD Fuel Systems division where I developed a custom electrical test system to measure on-engine solenoid temperatures. Previously, I interned at Argonne National Laboratory in the Transportation and Power Systems division where I developed a novel algorithm to characterize key components and attributes from sustainable fuel combustion experiments. When it comes to projects, I've been lucky enough to have a variety of experiences that have helped me cultivate many skills in various disciplines. This past year, I led a 6-Axis Robotic Arm project with over 40 members as well as a Liquid Rocket Engine Analysis team that performed both thermal and structural analysis on the combustion chamber and nozzle of a liquid rocket engine. I've done many other projects as well, and you can view the full list here.
While I am very technically focused, I'm also a real human and greatly value my free time. I love music, exercise, and Jesus and have played piano for 15 years. I also play the violin and am slowly learning the guitar. I'm currently studying abroad in Switzerland for the Fall 2025 semester and truly enjoy travelling Europe and experiencing the beautiful nature and culture here!
Last but not least, I'm currently searching for a co-op in the aerospace, robotics, or tech industries for the Spring 2026 semester. I'd love to connect on LinkedIn, and I also frequently check my email linked in my resume, so please reach out with any opportunities or questions!
